Geo. B. Stephan House Ashton, Illinois
Architect: Jesse A. Barloga Est. 1920
Drawings
Investigative work uncovered that the architecture firm of Tyson & Billy had in their possession a few remaining prints from Barloga's work. Many of the prints had been discarded or given to the property owners. Fortunately, one of the print sets in the firm's possession was that of the Stephan home. Here are the complete prints of the house, garage, and landscape design.

The detailed landscape design. The trees to the North were not added as the sidewalk was never installed by the Village of Ashton. The pavers in the back yard have been moved to create a garden wall along the driveway. In 2014, I installed a circular paver patio and walkway in the back yard, keeping in theme with the original design.

Stairway and bay window assembly drawing. This drawing notes that all of the trim and woodwork is walnut. Note the notch above the archway. This design appears four times in this home. Once on each side of the archway and twice in brickwork above two windows.

Detailed drawing of the Model A style garage.
